It’s a new year! And time for some new faces. Crush Model Studio hosted its 5th annual open call casting at the Harrah’s Casino conference center. Sarah Beth, and recurring team members, witnessed an astounding 33 models attend this year. Crush Model Studio hosts both a Missouri and Kansas open call each year. We are still looking forward to the Kansas casting in Baldwin City, next weekend.
As for the Missouri casting, there were many new changes. Many of the models, old and new, enjoyed our new red carpet selfie station. “I wanted to have something for the models to promote themselves and have fun with this year,” said Sarah Beth. Many took the opportunity to post their selfies to their socials while tagging hashtag, “#crushmodelstudio.” Models who participated in walking during their casting were also featured on our studio’s TikTok account. As many former Crush Models have participated in runway shows in previous years, Sarah Beth has provided coaching opportunities for both posing and walking. Each model had three headshots taken and was asked to walk. Not every model was required to, but for those wanting to tip their toes into the water, it was a great opportunity.
As we close our first casting call of the year, we would like to give thanks. A special thank you to Harrah’s Casino for hosting the open call. Thank you to all the models for joining us. Thank you to current Crush Model Studio member’s for volunteering their time and help.
